It depends a bit what you would use data for - there would be the option of adding to your basic contract a Pass or two, which offer "endless data" for specified purposes. They'd have to be used with some caution, as it wouldn't be possible to apply a data cap to your chargeable usage if you also have a Pass.
If you're looking for unlimited data because you're a gamer, you should be aware of this issue. I'd hope for a change of heart on that, but at present it's a problem.

Hi Annie_N
Thanks for your replies.
The reason I'd like an unlimited data contract is that I'd like to use 4G to supply our home internet.
Currently we are using an ADSL modem to supply our home internet, but the speeds are terrible (6 mbps down, 0.2 mbps up). We do have excellent 4G signal from vodafone though, so i'd like to get rid of our ADSL modem, use a lte modem and router with unlimited data sim to supply our home internet.
We have good 4g coverage from Vodafone, EE, and Three where we live, but it seems only Three do a unlimited data contract. I'd prefer to use Vodafone if possible as the 4G speeds are faster and our mobile phone accounts are with vodafone.
Seems that we'll have to go with Three though.

Be careful with whoever you go with, as tethering your mobile SIM to "power" your home broadband will use vast amounts of data and may well breach any fair use policy that a provider will probably have in their "unlimited" data T&Cs
In fact looking at Three's webiste it says
If you’re taking out an Advanced Plan you can use all of your data allowance as a personal hotspot in the UK, unless you have chosen an all-you-can-eat data plan. In this case, you can use up to 30GB as a personal hotspot in the UK.
We no longer offer SIM plans that support all-you-can-eat Personal Hotspot use. If you want to use Personal Hotspot regularly, we recommend our SIM only plan with all-you-can-eat phone data and a 30GB Personal Hotspot allowance, which should be more than enough for the vast majority of our customers. If you would like more, you may want to investigate our Mobile Broadband options.

Good point @SimonWilding
Until you mentioned this, I hadn't looked at Three's offering very closely, although I had been aware of their "all you can eat" plans. The 30GB hotspot limit is stressed in all their plans for phones, so I also took their advice, and had a look at their Mobile Broadband options, where the largest data allowance seems to be 40GB, and no mention of any sort of unlimited data plan.
So it actually looks as though Vodafone's 50GB plan may be slightly nearer to the mark as far as @rangor_gubbins' requirements are concerned. However, the costs of over-running that limit are very high, so I'd think it would be essential to use the data cap to avoid a frightening bill come the end of the month, and also to keep an eye on how the usage is going, to try to eke out the allowance to the end of the month.
Indeed, thinking about how much data the two people in this household get through, a family might want to think of having two plans rather than just one - that would come out cheaper than paying OOB rates!

Thanks for the suggestions.
50 GB / month is not enough data. We use around 60GB currently, and will probably use more if we had faster speeds. It's too expensive to buy 2 plans for £60 / month and we'd still only have 100GB data usage.
I'll look into alternatives

Only other thought is that you mention phone accounts - would there be any mileage in upgrading one or more to a plan with more data? Though keeping track of it all could become a bit burdensome if you're drawing data from multiple sources.
Good luck with your search!
