II have been trying to get a default/late payment removed off my credit file for the last 3mths since closing my account 4mths ago with no avail.
Every time i ring i get promised it will be done as its been passed to management etc etc but its still there and getting worse as its still showing a outstanding balance/default. (the account is settled and i also have another contract with vodaphone)
Now im due to remortgage my home in the next month or so and my mortgage advisor has told me that it will get declined due to vodaphone doing this to my credit file.
Now i have been sooooo stressed about this because if i dont remortgage my payments are going to shoot up by over £100 per month and this will be down to vodaphone and i can not afford the extra £100 per month so that will put me in the boat of loosing my house.
Now i am very careful with my credit file and make sure it is all immaculate due to me knowing i need to remortgage.
HELP!!

Hi
I have written a help guide that explains which department to ask for - 'Vodafone Credit File Support Team' - and how to add a 'Notice of Correction' via Experian. It is Free to add the Notice of Correction. This gives you the tools to add notes on your Credit File to explain why the Default is showing. It would only be worth adding this if you think the default is wrong and shouldn't have been applied.
Please take into consideration that a Default will only be removed if it was reported on your Credit File incorrectly.
This is why it's important to speak with Customer service first to clear up why this has happened before the Credit File Support Team can help.

Alternatively please hang in there for a member of the Vodafone Team here to engage with you.

I’ve sent you a private message with instructions on how to get in touch, so we can look into this further.
