So the release date is the 11th of March but if you pre-order Samsung says you can benefit by having it 3 days early. Will vodafone honour that? I've pre-ordered mine but the sales guys have no idea when the phones will start to get dispatched.

Well after being told twice yesterday my order wasn't "pushed" I am now being told DPD will be delivering it to the store today. The tracker is still at stage 2.
This is a total mess. If I go to the store and it's not there I won't be at all happy.

@dadon - I am someone who pre-ordered in Feb (on Day 1 - on the 22nd) and haven't received a phone or the VR headset. I've dealt with multiple people at Voda - on the phone, in person at the store, on twitter, on here, on Live Chat - the service has been nothing short of appalling. There is not a single person who can tell me where my order is or when it will be delivered. I had a horrendous conversation today with someone who refused to cancel my order - treating their paying customers like garbage.
I eventually had enough and called to cancel all 3 of my lines via 191 "you are thinking of leaving us". Finally got through to someone who cared. The first person in 10 days who wasn't entirely incompetent. She cancelled the old order, 100 quid credit on my account, created a new order and personally promised my phone would be with my by 1pm tomorrow. Lets see.
2 morals to the story. 1 - I'm never pre-ordering again. 2 - 99% of Vodafone's customer service operatives are a complete waste of space.

It's a miracle.
The S7 Edge and VR headset I ordered first thing on Monday were delivered to the store today and I collected them.
I'm home now and just checked the tracker Vodafone keep telling us to use and guess what ..... it's still at stage 2
They're getting a stern complaint email as I have wasted hours on this. Upgrading should be seamless.

Update to my rant above.
Text from Vodafone this morning - "Your Vodafone order has been delayed and won't be delivered as planned"
More broken promises, lies and incompetence.
Ordered Feb 22nd, no phone now on March 12th.

I had exactly the same issue as markrobberts99.
Ordered 22nd Feb, paid extra for early contract renewal, paid £30 for handset, on the 9th of March I call to find out if delivery will be 10th, the answer I get is, what order it was cancelled. Oh no wait, it was ordered, cancelled and ordered again but the order is stuck.
So I called, I live chatted and called again, promised and promised and promised, finally got so fed up and angry that I went into store in local highstreet. dude was appalled when i explained situation, he called customer services on my behalf and was told, "do you know how many times this guy has called?". It's these flippant remarks that seem to be the trademark of VF's customer service.
Fair play to the instore guy, his reply was "well I'm not surprised you've treated him like [Removed in line with House Rules] and my advice to him is to keep calling you". Shows a certain disconnection between in store staff and the phone crew if you ask me.
So here I am, still no phone, no nothing. As explained to one Customer service rep I'm not a 14 year old girl/boy waiting outside Apples store for the latest gadget, I want what I paid for.
Vodafone is not alone in this industry for these shannanigans, but seriously, VF needs to remember these contracts are 2 way, I pay, you provide. That is the nature of the contract.
In the interests of fairness, I would like to thank Chris from cancellations for putting up with alot of my unhappiness, and Rahul and Pranjul for their help via LiveChat.
I want to remain loyal to Vodafone, but your making it very hard.

Guys, I would encourage you to call returns and raise a complaint. I did that this morning and after some negotiation I ended up being offered a £50 credit and 10% off the monthly fee for the duration of the contract.
If you're not happy with the service received let them know about it.
