Delivery date

So the release date is the 11th of March but if you pre-order Samsung says you can benefit by having it 3 days early. Will vodafone honour that? I've pre-ordered mine but the sales guys have no idea when the phones will start to get dispatched.

@grahamo

Nine million units in stock though mate :Smiling:

I take it back - it just arrived (despite the text saying it was delayed and wouldn't be coming!)

Finally 🙂

Walked into a high street store (not Vodafone) today and picked one up with the minimum of fuss.

Well done Vodafone. Lost another customer

Success.

After spending a week chasing this and several hours of my time wasted. My order was stuck at stage 2, several store reps and the live chat staff were not able to do anything as they told me they had no control over pre-orders. Spoke to the store manager and he called their retail team who tracked it down the the DPD warehouse, DPD could not locate the phone in the warehouse. The store manager had to make several calls to the warehouse, eventually advising them that they will claim it back from them, he then got a member of staff to collect a phone from another branch who had stock and did the changeover for me.

If you placed your order for store delivery, try speaking to the store manager and suggest he/she sources from another store.

They are an absolute shambles.

I've had email after email from them telling me my order is in the queue (was told nine million units in stock) no-one apparently can cancel the order (which seems like nonsense as the first order was cancelled).

Fair play to those who can put up with such ridiculous customer service.

The phone is great though

Pre-ordered mine on the 22ND and nothing. Zip. I've spent hours chasing around and have failed call backs from the CRM team.
My last update was (after an hour of my calling around) yesterday. Someone in customer service spoke to the warehouse and they said I signed for the phone on 24th Feb - this was only the SIM card. Apparently they believe they sent the phone before the release date, with the VR headset and managed to fit it all into a flat envelope!!!!

So now, CS have raised a lost in transit request - which will take 48-72 business hours for the warehouse to look into it. Looks like the earliest update I will get is at least two weeks after I should have got my pre-order. I can't even cancel my contract as I have to return the phone I haven't received.

This is the second year in a row Vodafone have messed up my pre-order. At least last year it was fixed within a day.

All I want to do is collect my phone and VR headset from a shop today. But I'll have to wait for the incompetent departments to realise they mistake and send it to my home address (I've waited in three times for each no-show so far).
In the meantime, I'll probably lose the buyer of my current phone.

Not happy.
