So the release date is the 11th of March but if you pre-order Samsung says you can benefit by having it 3 days early. Will vodafone honour that? I've pre-ordered mine but the sales guys have no idea when the phones will start to get dispatched.

By the way I hope no-one else does what I did. I spent a couple of hours manually backing everything up (lot of music), only then do I open up the new box and find there is a little connecter gizmo that lets you transfer everything in 5 minutes! What an idiot.

Received my bag from DPD this afternoon within the timeslot so that was great.  However.....on opening the bag I see my brand spanking new phone just sitting there on top of its box. Soooooo not impressed, the screen protector looks like it's been peeled off and re-applied. And they can't say it was to put the SIM card in as that was laying intact at the bottom of the bag. Called to complain and they will send me another...in 3 to 5 days as they're out of stock.  Not a happy bunny at all (at least the Gear VR was in the bag still sealed).

Phone ordered on the 22nd, vr delivered to my surprise on the 24th. As of yet I've not had or been able get any news on when my phone will be delivered. Customer service/live chat what a complete waste of time and energy.

I've been on the phone for a while but I've finally got it sorted and they are delivering it tomorrow! They tried to tell me it will be sent out Friday but I said it wasn't good enough and got the manager involved and said I would cancel the contract (good old cooling off period) and they changed their tune. So just FYI, go through to the normal 03333040191 number, ask to be put through to returns (english people) and say what I said. They tried to fob me off so many times but keep saying you can cancel it and get it in store on Friday etc etc. Just don't accept no and they will do it. Hope this helps.

I also have been on the phone to VF for a few hours speaking to every dept i could to get an answer. In the end ive cancelled my order and requested a PAC code. I cant be dealing with a company that treats loyal customers of 10 year+ like crap

I'm a new customer and ordered at a store last week, was told at the time of ordering that I would receive the phone on the pre order release date - today (8/3/15), went to the store to collect only to be told that my delivery has not arrived and that I should receive a text when it does, was not told about this when ordering, also I pre-ordered specifically so that I could have it on the pre-release date.

Missold and situation made worse by the laziness and/or incompetence of the assistant
 store manager to look into it, I then requested to make a complaint only to be fobbed off and told to go online to complain, disgraceful service!

SNAP!! I take the decision to leave "3" after 6 years to come to vodafone..........go into store last week to pre-order the phone and VR with a promise that it will be ready to collect on the 8th and i will get a text......low and behold no text so i go into store to be told that they are there but they cant give them out as the system wont let them log the phones on. Still nothing the next day so i speak to live chat who basically just tell me that the pre-orders were too much so they were having trouble fullfilling orders!..........now considering my mate ordered his online on the sunday just gone and got his on time i cant help but feel ive been fed a load of bull!! And as of this minute still no phone, the order tracker is saying order processed waiting for dispatch which again has got my back up!.........think i might just go into store and tell them to stick it...politely of course!!!

Just spoke to 2 separate people who told me my order placed first thing on Monday hasn't been released. The order confirmation clearly shows collect from store tomorrow.

I had already spoken to other staff during the week who assured me delivery would be on Friday. I can't believe how Vodafone can screw this up.

Thankfully 3rd time lucky, I got a really nice chap called Liam who is going to check with the warehouse first thing in the morning and get back to me. Seems neither live chat or the call centre staff have access to see what has been despatched, and that's crazy.

If it's not been despatched I'm going to cancel the upgrade and go elsewhere.

I've had the same problem, ordered on 21st and got vr headset on 24th. I've been told that stock may be coming in on Thursday and it would be sent out on Friday but I don't believe that. I said I will cancel my order and go into a shop to get it if not and they said they will honour the agreement

If you can change then great your definitely doing the right thing... I can't as I still have months of my contract left... but hope it works out. Just a heads up incase you hadn't considered it, they might try charge you for the headset! its textbook Vodafone.
