Dongle installed but not connecting

Have installed the Vodafone Mobile Connect Lite on my computer. After install it shows in the Main view box "Mobile device detected" but does not have any connection. Intstalled it and tried on 2 other computers and it works fine. What can be wrong?

It nevers asks for a pin after install, which it does on all the other laptops its worked on .

Hi GC,

 

If the dongle and software work fine on two other computers then the issue you face seems likely to be something specific related to the computer itself. We do have the latest full version of the Vodafone Mobile Broadband which you can download from here on our Global Technical Support site.

 

Can you install it and then let us know how you go on.

Hi,

 

Another thing that would be good to know is if there is any signal displayed in the mobile Broadband software (it shoiuld do this shortly after detecting the device)? If no signal is displayed:

- What colour is the light on the modem when you get this problem?

- Are all the computers you've tried this with in the same location?

- Are all the computers you've tried this on all running the same version of Windows?

- What model modem do you have (it should be printed on the back of the modem)?

- Does you connect button ever become clickable or is it always greyed out?

 

If you find the full download (mentioned in the previous post) doesn't help then answering the questions above should give an idea of what's causing your problem.
