Error 1603

Purchased new 1GB mobile USB broadband today. Plugged in dongle. Install autoran, unpacked some files but stopped at .net framework without invoking the installshield and returned and error 1603.

I am running XP and am an administrator

Hi dtxtreme,

This is a Windows Installer issue. Try the steps listed in the Microsoft Knowledgebase Article here
It may also be worth upgrading to the latest versions of .NET Framework and Microsoft Installshield.

Hi Jon, thanks for the advice.

I managed the install by temporarily disabling my PCTools anti-virus suite. That seemed to be the culprit.
