Hi, I ordered an iPhone 6 16GB Space Grey phone this week via Carphone Warehouse. I rang them today to chase up delivery and apparently my order has been declined by Vodafone. I have just opened an Experian account and my score 999. I would like someone to explain the reason why my order was declined. Thank you. Susan Booth

My mother got refused based on MY credit refernace as Vodafone claim they checked my details, just what my credit worthiness ha to do with my mother getting a contract phone they have filed to say. So a compint to the ICO had been made.
You are entilted under the data protection act to request a copy of the information and the sorce of that information. You are also entilted uder the DPA to demand that any false or inacuraet data be delted or corrected, the DPA also extends to hard/paper record as aswell as electronic.
If like me you do this you need to prepred for a game of caller ping pong and be passed arounfd the house by forigners and then get an email address that is no longer monitred.

Credit providers also check the physical address for any bad credit history, has anyone at your address had a problem in the last 6 years or have you recently moved address? Iso so they may have declined you dur to the fact that someone who is associated with you or with your address past or present has had a credit problem.

Hi, not to my knowledge but thanks for your advice. If anyone has the telephone number for Vodafone I would appreciate it. Can't seem to get through to them unless you actually have an account/phone with them in the first place

Hi @Susan1965,
It can be down to details being entered wrong on the original order.
We can't go into specifics with the reason for the fail, however, my best advice would be to visit a local store.
They can ring through to an internal team here and get a credit check manually reviewed.
Thanks,
Matt
