Will flashing vodafones nougat firmware onto my galaxy s7 add the wifi calling feature, which i currently cant access as my phone was not purchased directly from vodafone. What are the other benefits of doing this e.g. volte support in the future? Also will this void the warranty or trip the knox counter?.

Hi @Ajanni
I would suggest to visit the xda developers site to read up upon putting another custom rom on the phone looking at both the pros and cons.
I can't say this process will or won't add that specific feature.
I can tell you some have encountered various issues from doing this.
Something I would ask myself is it it worth the possible downsides to attempting to try and get Calling Over Wifi. Is it worth the risks.

Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512gb Phantom Black.

Hey,
Yeah its gutting you cant use the call WiFi feature, its pretty good. Sadly you can only do it from a phone bought directly from Vodafone.
I would stay away from flashing your phone unless you know what your doing.
You can find more info about WiFi calling here https://www.vodafone.co.uk/explore/network/network-improvements/wi-fi-calling/
If you do flash your phone and it works, please let me know, means we know it can work!
Cheers

I attempted to flash the Vodafone UK firmware from sammobile to my galaxy s7 using odin, but when it had installed the Vodafone nougat firmware it turned out to be vodafone germany even though it said Vodafone UK. I thought sammobile had put the wrong firmware under vodafone uk so i tried downloading the Vodafone UK marhsamallow firmware and that too turned out to be vodafone Germany so in the end i had to flash the nougat BTU firmware to my galaxy s7 instead, spent all day doing this too. Howcomes this had happened as everyone else flashing other carrier roms e.g. EE, O2 and Three had no problems doing so, and is there anyother way of installing the vodafone uk firmware onto my galaxy s7?

Hey
Which model of the Galaxy S7 do you have? Is the phone completely unlocked? The problem you have is when your downloading the firmware, you can never be sure the one being advertised is the right one.
Let me know and I will see if I can point you in the right direction
Cheers
