Hi,
I have just come off a call with retensions. I was going to leave Vodafone as my work gets a good discount with another provider.
The person I spoke to in retentions said that with the if I sign up to a new 24 month contact, with the flexi-upgrade scheme I will be able to drop down to a SIM only contract 6 months before the end of the new 24 month one. He said this would be a good way to save the difference in money.
Looking on the Vodafone website it appears that this isn't the case, but I can't find any concrete terms and conditions suppounding this.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
James

Hi @hazeyjames
The upgrade date where you are able to upgrade to a new agreement will be shown in the My Vodafone Application and online account. The flexible upgrade option where you are able to change tariff without early termination charges and the need to add the remaining time left onto a new agreement, is only when changing from a SIM only contract to a full contract. There is more information on flexible upgrades on the link below.
When you change from a full contract to a SIM only contract before the end of agreement, the remaining time left will be added onto the new contract at the new SIM only price. As far as is known this cannot be done until you are in upgrade period.
Thank you @63johnw

Hey,
Some information I can see is for Sim Only Flexible Upgrades found > Here.
As your suspicions have been aroused I'd suggest to Re contact Customer service on 191 or Live Chat and ask them to access your Account and Account Notes to double check.
I wouldn't want to personally say it looks sound advice given just in case.

Hi All,
Thanks for your quick replies. It does seem that I give given some bad advice on my original phone call. I have cancelled my pre-order upgrade of an S8.
I'll be cancelling my existing contract next week and moving elsewhere due to this.
Cheers,
James
