Galaxy S7 Edge WiFi Calling

Android developers have removed the WiFi calling on the Android Nougat (version 7) update.  It was working fine on my S7 Edge until they updated the OS from Marshmallow (version 6).  Now without it for weeks and Vodafone have been USELESS at understanding and sorting out the problem.  Apparently the only thing we can do is wait for Android to release a patch and there's no sign of that after waiting for weeks. This is causing serious inconvenience.

Here's what won't work (I have tried them all):

  1. Reactivating WifI Calling at Vodafone (tried this three times)
  2. Factory resetting your phone (totally messed up my phone for nothing as it doesn't remove last OS)
  3. Going to a Vodafone shop for a 'patch' (2 hours I won't get back)
  4. Getting a text update sent to my phone by Vodafone.
  5. Turning on Wifi Calling in settings (the option has been removed)

We will be obliged to leave for EE who immediately seem to have solved the same issue.  We only joined Vodafone in September on a very expensive business account to have this feature which I rely on.

Hi,

I don't know if it will help but I have just posted under the title "Galaxy S7 WiFi calling Android 7 Nougat" which explains how I (very easily) solved the problem on my S7 handset that was actually an unlocked EE handset - definitely NOT a Vodafone device.

Don't know if it will work for everyone but it might be worth a look.

Why do Vodafone staff not know Wi-Fi calling is in the calls setting and not the Wi-Fi settings....
