Galaxy S7 group message tone missing?

Just upgrading from a Galaxy S5 to S7. 99% happy, just one odd omission on the S7 I thought worth asking about.

Both S5 and S7 are running their respective latest Vodafone versions of Android 6.01.

On the S5 I go to the stock Samsung contacts app, pick groups, select a group and hit "edit group". There I get options to set group ringtone, message tone and vibration pattern. Taking the same route on the S7, I only get an option to assign a group ringtone, no message tone option..

Am I missing something, or is there a reason this option has been dropped?

Certainly a conundrum !

I have known different phones offer different settings options on the same firmware type. 

If this was my situation I'd possibly visit my local Vodafone Highstreet Store and check out the working demo models. 

If I may ask another member if his s7 shows the same options.

Yes I did check and mine only has the option to set a group ringtone and that's it so it must not be there now. There may be third party apps that can be used to give the function you require.

So it seems possibly my thoughts that this could be handset dependant could be the case. 

Good idea about maybe some App(s) that could add such an option. 👍🏻
