After moving house (about 3/4 mile up the road) my phone is unusable anywhere in my house or garden.

1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service?

Has been ongoing since I moved - so for over 2 weeks

Phone works fine at tube station (about 1/2 mile) and in previous house (postcode HA4 6RW)

2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? If you don't want this showing on the Community, add it to your profile here.
HA4 6JS

3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?

Yes - Other networks are fine just vodafone that is no good here.  Website indicates that the signal should be fine.

4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?
Can't take or make calls

5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all?
All

6) When did you first notice this issue?
22nd June '17

7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs?

permanent

@max00d - I’ve checked the coverage in your area and you should get good 2G.

3G and 4G are available, but they are slightly patchy.

Your local sites are all currently performing fine.

If you change your network settings to 2G only, does this improve things for calls and texts?

Not really.  But I'll experiment over next few days.

Bit underhanded to state on the network map that there is a great connection here.  If I have to turn 2g only on then what's the point of paying for services I cant use for the majority of my day?

@max00d - The coverage maps are computer generated estimates of the coverage in your area. You’ll always need to try the signal in real world conditions, to confirm how it is.

Let us know how you get on testing this on 2G only over the next few days.

So just so that clear on this.  The public facing website has "optimistic" data...but this is only an estimate.  But as Vodafone staff you have access to a "realistic" system that reflects what is actually the state of the service.

Isn't it disengenouis to not put the "realistic" system behing the public facing website...

@max00d Our network coverage checker shows a computer generated prediction of coverage,  this is regularly updated to make it as accurate as possible. You can see this on the page:

'This map shows a computer generated prediction in a given area. It should be used as a guide only and is not a guarantee of actual signal coverage'

We also offer The Vodafone Network Satisfaction Guarantee - which allows customers a 30 day period to put our network to the test. If it's decided by the customer that our network isn't to their liking and they're within the 30 day period, they're able to cancel the contract, with no strings attached.

To answer and clarify your question - Yes you're correct, we do have internal systems which allow us to look at our network in further detail - as this enables us to view any issues/faults and check coverage in further detail.

As I'm sure you can imagine, it'd be impossible for us to assist with network queries based off a computer generated prediction, which is why we have our internal systems - however these aren't compatible for public use/viewing, which is why they don't appear on our website.

So my phone is a uselss shiny brick when I'm at home.  This is 2017 and zone 5 the capital of the UK.

Your customer service or more aptly customer non service team are hopeless.  It's impossible to get through to a real person who can do anything.

Keep getting told the network issue in my area is fixed... But it's not.

So fed up of this.  I'm paying for a service that Vodafone can't provide me.  You should release me from my contract with no exit fees so I can get a provider who can actually give me a phone signal.

Such a negative horrible experience.  Vodafone are the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.
