HTC 10 on Vodafone

So, exciting news about the HTC 10 yesterday.
The leaks left me doubting if the device was good enough, but initial reviews suggest it might have got it right.

In the meantime TechRadar suggests VF are sitting on the fence about whether to stock it.

I'm sure a helpful VF member of staff will point us to the pointless "Coming Soon" page. Thanks for that.

Meantime here in the real world who would like VF to stock the HTC 10?
Is it incredible or even possible that VF are considering to NOT run with it?

@zorica it seems like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I will just copy and paste my reply to someone on Google+ below:

I have had another chat with a member of the sales team today (actually I chatted to two ppl) where I specifically asked to clarify the situation due to the misleading information being thrown at us. Copy and paste (and spellcheck :)) from my transcript, only VF reps responses:
Rep 1 (new sales team):"Actually manufacturer has just announced the handset, but they have not released yet on our network. So we will be having on pre-order or direct order online in coming week or next of that week. We are awaiting update from HTC itself."
"Yes, of course we will be stocking this handset, we are eagerly waiting this handset on sale"
"Yes, our team is working on it and customer can see very soon under " Coming soon"  section. "
Rep 2 (cust. services): " I'll be honest, I don't know who has said this but why would we not stock a brand new HTC phone? We stock all latest models with regards Samsung, Iphone and HTC"
"We should be having this handset in stock and available as of release next month"
I hope no one working for VF would dare to give such information to a customer (especially considering how they failed in Which customer satisfaction survey) if it wasn't confirmed by their managers or someone inside VF.

All indicates VF will stock the 10, we just have to be patient. I have also considered pulling the trigger and getting it from HTC direclty. Let's see how this unfolds

@burso83

Unfortunately we aren't stocking the HTC 10.

You can read more about this on our eForum statement

Ok Vodafone so you are happy to loose loyal customers? Right I for one will be going to EE as they do NHS employee discount just like Vodafone and are doing the HTC 10, coverage is identical where I live and work. Ive been with Vodafone since 1997! But I will NEVER have an apple product and the UI on Samsung is awful.

Well that sounds promising Burso83. Having said that, the thought of having to purchasing a handset outright made me wonder if I should wait to see who's bringing out the next Nexus. My money's on HTC what is everyone thoughts?

@specland1 I also played with the idea of waiting for the new Nexus (courtesy of HTC) but I guess I wouldn't be able to wait for that long and I'm also worried about the screen being too big. For me the 5.2 inch is the sweet spot. But if worst comes to worst and VF will not stock the 10 I could well wait for the new Nexus.

To be honest given the reviews I dont see how they cant, Im guessing they are trying to screw down the cost of the handset....

It seems a 3rd party seller is the only current option for the HTC 10 until Vodafone realises that this phone will probably sell well.

A surprisingly balanced review that has the S7 and htc10 running much closer than I might have thought - the reviewer isn't a fan of the edge idea:

TechRadar have today issued a list of best places to get the htc10 (incl VF contracts - obviously not direct WHICH IS WHAT WE ALL WANT - ARE YOU LISTENING VF? DO WE NEED TO BEG?! 😞

ps. EDIT: This is an extra review from last 24hrs that also shows the Ice Case and how the cover folds back unlike how the dot view doesn't on the HTCOneM8: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RXEkHkcGkI
