Hotmail via Outlook 2010 'connector' stopped working?

Hi,

I have been using VF 3G for many years & on the most - all works fine & reliable.

However, I am now having a problem.

The Problem:

- Using MS Outlook 2010 with hotmail email no longer connects - just errors with a failure to login.

This has always previously worked fine but stopped working about 3 wks ago on VF 3G.

All other IMAP mail ect works fine & connection from home or public wifi - all works fine. However, connecting to VF 3G & connection to my emila hotmail fails,

I welcome your feedback on why this might be happening.

fyi

- Nothing has changed on laptop recently & all works fine with a Three SIM

Thanks,

 T

Hi,

My problem has returned.

You fixed this for me following my previous post & both my probllems (Email via MS Outlook & MS OneNote) worked for about a week but the issue has now returned.

I received a txt from you resetting my unrestricted (over18) access which solved the problem but for some unknown reason my problem has returned.

Are you able to revisit this and please fix it ?

Thank You,

T

Hi tmantell

I have reset this for you. We did have a small problem with content control so this may have caused this issue.

Have you tried flushing your DNS cache in case this is causing it?

  • Disconnect from the internet.
  • Click on Start.
  • Select Run.
  • Type CMD right mouse click on the listing and select run as administrator and press enter.
  • In the black  box type the following command:
  • ipconfig /flushdns
  • Type exit after this.

If you’re still having problems it maybe worth you noting which IP you’re connected on via Vodafone and letting me know.

To find your IP address click here.

Thanks
