How do I connect Smart Ultra 6 to macbook via usb?

I have selected   "connect as media divice (MTP)' on my SU6, and the usb icon doesnt show up on the top of screen. Also It doesn't connect to my Macbook Pro. I want to be able to transfer music from Mac to phone, but I can't.

Help

A Mac is not a Windows machine (obvious I know) and simply an Android device to it won't get any response from the Mac. You'll need this app:

I've used this several times and it works very well.

You'll need to try on a Windows computer and not a MAC.
