I live in Jersey and want to give my Gran a present of an IPAD with mobile WIFI so she can keep up to date with all her family on Facebook. She lives in UK and getting less mobile. I have the IPAD already set up with Facebook and I am happy to pay for a mobile WIFI contract in UK for the IPAD to be connnected but cannot get round the fact I live in Jersey and so cannot get a contract in my name / at my address. Any suggestions?
The first question is where did you get the iPad from and is it locked to a network. If it is you'll need to get it unlocked before you can put a Vodafone UK sim in it.
Secondly, there is no way to get a UK contract or even a PAYG sim without a UK address and bank account.
