So I've contacted Huawei regarding my p9 update after being told in store that it's the manufacturer not Vodafone who delay updates being released. (love your staff telling lies because they are poorly informed) Huawei have informed me that they have released the update for my handset. (they checked the phones person code) and informed me it's my network who is delaying the update.
Can somebody please explain to me why Vodafone have not released the update for my p9.

Vodafone explain in their Firmware statement.
The Networks want to check that the new firmware does not clash with its services before allowing the update to be pushed to their branded phones.
This can delay things sometimes.
The only option is to keep checking in your phones software update settings.
