IMEI blocked by Vodafone !

Hello

i’ve been in contact with numerous members of the Vodafone team who are all very pleasant and eager to help, but my issue persists.

i have sent off my old iPhone SE to Mazuma mobile to be recycled but they have ‘quarantined’ the device as the IMEI comes up on the CheckMEND database as ‘red flagged’ they say it has a block on there from Vodafone ?

i have all receipts from the purchase and there is nothing untoward. However , all members of the Vodafone team have been unable to get this unblocked .

has anyone else had this issue when recycling a device ? It is really irritating because I bought the phone fair and square and now they won’t sent it back or send the money until it is unblocked ?

I've seen where a mobile had been blocked in error by a Network and even if the person isn't actually on that network !

I believe it's some form of human error with entering the wrong imei number. 

Have you checked your phones status yourself using checkmend ?

As this is going to need investigating please let the Vodafone Social Media Team here who read all posts catch up with your post and I'm sure that they will help you with this situation if they can.

i have checked myself , yeah , it’s just like a cycle of incompetence (obviously not ddeliberately) and it’s becoming annoying haha x
