Internet loss with full signal.

Hi Guys,

Hopefully someone can help with this issue. I have a HTC One M7 which has up until now worked perfectly, but recently despite full signal and showing a 4G connection, there isn't actually an internet connection. While it shows its connected to 4G no app can access the internet and this issue isnt resolved by turning data connection or the phone on and off again. Eventually the internet connection is restored but the time until this happens is random and can be hours.

Any advise is appreciated.

First things first, give our Network Troubleshooting guide a run through. This will help you test the basics for the phone, SIM and local sites.

I'd also recommend going to:

• Settings
• About
• Software updates

If there's an update due, be sure to download it via Wi-Fi as the files can be quite big.

If what @Ben_H doesn't work you could try a factory reset and set the phone up from scratch again. If the problem still persists it may need to go for repair.

You could also try restricting the phone to 3 & 2g - just to check whether it's a 4g thing.   You can find that under Settings|Mobile Data.
