Hi May I know whether the set <removed for security> unlocked to be used in India? I was using this number with my "iPhone 4" having vodafone as service provider from UK before back to India in July'12. Paid all my dues and wanted to know if the set in unlocked or not? Please respond quickly and let me know the procedure to be followed to use it. Can touch base with me over <removed for security> . Also can call me over <removed for security>. Thanks and Regards Manob

Hi ManobSinha,
You can check if the handset is unlocked by popping a non-Vodafone UK SIM card into it and connecting it with iTunes on your computer using the USB cable. The phone will then receive the current available carrier settings for the SIM card - if it's unlocked it will get the settings it needs, and if not then the phone will fail to recognise the SIM as a valid one.
If you do need it unlocked, you'll find the information you need here.
Please also note that I've had to remove the secure details from your post for your security as this is a public forum. We cannot check the handset for you, but if we do need to step in and help with getting this sorted we'll pop you a PM to advise how to get us the information we'll need to get involved.
