Issue with website information.

I want to draw attention to the issues I had upgrading yesterday in the hope the will get corrected.

 

I was due to upgrade my sim only plan.  I also have a discount code to apply under the Vodafone Advantage program.  On the advantage page of Vodafone's web site it says

"30% off any Pay monthly SIM only bundles

* The Vodafone Advantage discount can’t be used with any other promotional discount."

 

The link takes you to a list of bundles - none of which state that they already have a promotional discount.  

On the MyVodafone upgrade page it lists the same bundles and again none of them state they have a promotional discount.

 

So I chose one of the packages Red Value Bundle.  At this point I would get a web site error and could proceed no further.

 

I therefore reverted to the web chat and told the advisor what I wanted.

 

I asked specifically about using the discount on the bundle i had chosen - the following is from the transcript of that conversation:

“I was trying to select the Red Value Bundle - 20GB. I have an employee advantage code to use for 30% discount

Thank you. I would not be able to add the VEA discount to the plan, but what I can do is change the plan over to the 20GB plan and then after the plan changes over (midnight tonight) you can go online to www.Vodafone.co.uk/VEA or speak to our customer service chat team and apply for that discount

Yes, you can add that discount to any of our plans, so you would be able to apply for that to be added to that plan”

 

Today - I made that phone call and was told that I could not use the code as a discount had been applied.  The advisor pointed me to the shop web site where it does show that it is a discounted plan. - So I ended up having to change my plan again.

 

Vodafone need to update the information on their web site so that the information on  upgrade and the VEA site is complete and where the price includes a discount, they show that information.

They also need to  educate their advisor.

All posts are read by them Vodafone Team here so I'm sure this will be fed back. 

 

It is correct that only one discount can be applied.

@leahk That's correct, if a plan already has a discount applied we're unable to apply another. As you were unable to see this via our website I'll feed this back, thanks for letting us know.
