I had to re-install windows xp pro recently after the registrey became corrupted.
Now I cannot launch the VMC dashboard. I just just a list of exception errors.
There is nothing wrong with the hardware, that is detected just fine.
I have included a log file.
Although I don't understand it, there does seem to be a few instances of "GetRegistryValue:.....does not exist"
I have tried un-installing, running a registry cleaner and re-installing, but i get the same result.
Any ideas on what I can do?
Thanks

Hi deas92
Thanks for your post here. I’m sorry to hear that you are having problems with this. I appreciate how frustrating this must be for you.
Have you tried downloading the full and updated version of the Vodafone Mobile Broadband client from our website below?
Please give this one a go and let me know how you get on.
Thanks
Wayne

Hi opelgp,
Welcome to the eForum - let's see if we can sort this for you!:smileyhappy:
Can you provide a few more details for us so we can get a better picture of what's happening, for example have you just reinstalled your OS as Deas92 did, is this a new computer, did it work previously, and so on. The more information we have, the more likely we are to find the issue. If you can walk us through step by step that would be ideal.
As well as describing what is happening for us, there are a few specific things we can check straight away:
- Do you get any error message?
- If you check "My computer", does it recognise the dongle is plugged in, and what icon does it show?
- In Control Panel > Device manager, does the dongle appear under "modems"?
We also have our Mobile Broadband troubleshooter which you might want to check to see if anything there matches what you're seeing.
If you can get back to us with this information, that would be ideal!

Hi Duda31,
Thanks for your post here.
To be honest with Windows XP SP3 you shouldn’t need to make any changes to run the software as it is compatible and should install and run without issues.
Can I ask if it is an official copy of windows that you have installed?
Also, does the PC recognise that the dongle is connected?
Have you tried a registry cleaner program to see if this is causing an issue?
If you can give this a go I will be able to advise you furher.
James
