K3765 Broadband - Frequent Error Code 691

Hello,

I have a K3765 pre-paid stick. I have full signal for both 3G and GPRS/Edge, but periodically, my connection drops out and when trying to re-connect I recieve error code 691. This connection drop out ranges from 10mins-couple of hours, and happens atleast 4-5 times a day. In order to re-connect, I have to re-start my computer, which is very annoying when i'm half way through doing something.

I have tried everything I can think of! I've tired unplugging it and plugging it back in, restarting the program, disabling and enabling the network connection, even tried re-starting the VMC service. Nothing seems to work.

We set the connection to 3G only, and that seems to have improved it a little, but not enough.

Any advice is welcome! Really starting to become an inconvenience!

Hi whit3tig3y,

The problems you describe seem to indicate a localised network issue. Does this only happen when connected to 3G, or does it happen when connected to 2G / EDGE also?
When you get disconnected, does Vodafone Mobile Connect still show full signal bars for the network? What lights show on the modem when this happens?

Also, can you provide us with the full postcode where this issue occurs, assuming it only happens in one location?
