Locked device

Hi everyone,

I just travelled and my phone got locked. My sim is not working for some reason and I cannot access my phone becaue I don't know my pin code.

It does mention my email address on the screen, is there any way of getting that code using my email?

I really need my phone

If this is in connection to Vodafone Protect App then two avenues to look at are to insert your sim in another phone that accepts a Vodafone sim and request the pin that way or perform a Hard Reset which takes the phone back to the last firmware update but this would delete saved data in the phones storage memory. 

If your sim is not working in another phone that accepts a Vodafone sim then you'll need to contact Customer support to have your account checked. Link in my signature. 

If you've forgotten the pin to unlock your own phones security then you'll have to keep trying to remember it. That passlock is in place  to protect the phone and data within. 

If your abroad Ensure no abroad bars are turned on by logging into your Myvodafone.

Which HTC App is causing this. 

Security protocols as I say are in place to protect the phone.

My device is locked with vodafone protect app, my sim card is not working for some reason because I am abroad.

I can only point you to the advice I gave in message 3. 

Talk Mobile is a virtual network that uses Vodafones Network. You would need to speak to their customer services in relation to your SIM card not working.

I am calling to UK for my mum to check phone box and its papers if she can finf any pin codes. She said theres a lot of numbers in there so it seems very hopeless situation.

I cannot understand why this phone would behave like that when I have never asked for this vodafone protection to be put in my phone at first place. So furstrating, I cannot take any pictures and nevertheless I cannot afford losing any data from that phone.
