MMS NOT WORKING

When connected to the sure signal mms will not send or be received.

I have tested it when the sure signal is switched off an they work fine.

I originally had the first sure signal and had it changed to the newer one, both have the same problem.

Hi kevmcgin,

This is a strange one!

So that we can do some more digging, please can you let us know the following:

-What phone are you using?

-Does it happen with other users when connected to the Sure Signal?

-Have you tried your SIM in another phone?

The more information you can provide, the better :Smiling:

Thanks,

Jenny

I am using a Samsung galaxy s2.

The other users in the household have the same problem.

Hi kevmcgin,

This is definitely a new one on us - I had a Galaxy S2 connected to my V1 Sure Signal and MMS worked fine each way - I think we'll need to get this investigated as a case so we'll need to access your account.

I've sent you a PM with instructions on how to contact the team, follow these and we'll be in touch as soon as we can.

You can find your PM inbox here

Hi,

This thread was suggested as I was searching for MMS details and the original VSS, did you ever get to the bottom of this?

Description of my problem, I can send/receive MMS fine when out and about (Cross network as well as on Vodafone) but as soon as I am using my original VSS I can receive MMS but not send to Vodafone customers or to cross network.  I'm using a Galaxy SIII current Vodafone issued version of Jellybean, non-rooted stock firmware (With Nova launcher).  I have no Vodafone apps installed as they don't seem to work for business customers.  MMS don't send from Samsungs native SMS app nor my preferred Handcent.  We have no other phones in the house that work with vodafone to test it on.  When I try to send the message HSDPA turns itself on (as expected) but it then "hangs" for approximately 1 hour, waits 10 mins then tries again, and a third and final time before failing.   The test person I'm sending to has received MMS from me on the open Vodafone network.

If it helps (Although I am not sure if it will) I'm a OneNetExpress customer as I know they are 2 different systems due to the VoIP backend etc.  I'm assuming the MMS gaeway settings are right due to MMS working when I have Vodafone signal, as opposed to relying on the SureSignal.

Thanks in advance

Dave

Problem was never resolved. I even got the newer version if the sure signal and still have the problem. Only way around this while at home is to either disconnect the sure signal when sending an mms or just using viber or whatsapp when possible

Thanks.  I use WhatsApp and viber as much as possible too but it's not always possible.  Never mind with a bit of luck Vodafone will find a solution. Or I have to persuade a few more people the wisdom of IM apps!
