Microsd Card Not Working On Desktop Pc

I have just bought a microsd card 4GB for my Vodafone internet dongle. It works fine on my laptop but not on my desktop PC.

When I plug it in it puts the Icon on the bottom of the screen for 'safely remove USB mass storage device -Drive (E:)

If I go to My Computer there is an icon for Vodafone VMC Lite(E:) if I open that all I get is a page with three icons. One for 'autorun' another 'Helper' and Setup VMC lite. Both these will install it but I still can't access it.

I have tried dragging and dropping onto the icon but then I get an error message saying I can't do that as it is read only??

Just to test it on my laptop I dragged a file onto it and it worked. If I had wanted to transfer that file to my desktop PC how would I do it?

The idea of buying this card is so that I can update my files on my laptop to take on holiday. Most importantly MS Money.

Hi Patricia,

I'm glad you were able to resolve this on your own. Out of curiosity, what was the fix? It might help anyone else experiencing the same problem :)
