I have connected gmail thru vodofone dongle. I can not able to connect gmail chat. But gtalk is working fine. Is there any option to enable gmail chat. Moreover some useful urls are also blocked as restricted access as adult content page.

I am having similar problems with a chat client on a forum.

The forum uses ipboard software and has an inbuilt chat client. It worked fine over wifi but now it only half loads and I cannot see any chat. It was fine over wifi but not over my PAYG dongle.

Obviously there is some restriction as the OP mentioned. Would like to know how to tinker with the settings.

Thanks

Hi guys,

There is content control in place by default on all dongles, but this can be removed.

You'll find all the information in our content control removal thread.

Hi Dave,

I'm having a similar problem. I bought a PAYG dongle and its working pretty well. However, when I log onto my gmail account my screen freezes and then my computer shuts down. Does this have something to do with google chat? It's proving quite a problem for me as I use this account for work etc. I have opened up the content control removal thread but this is no use to me as i don't own a credit card. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi nikimacm and welcome to the eForum

Thanks for your post here. I'm sorry to hear that you are also having issues with this.

You can get your content control bar lifted by visiting a Vodafone store with 2 forms of ID. They'll then be able to lift this for you :)

Please let us know how you get on and if you have any more questions just give us a shout

Thanks
