Mobile Broadband K3565 - not working after 1 year of not using it

Hi,
I have a K3565 which has been unused for nearly a year. (On windows XP)
Today i tried to use it again, but it cannot find a network. I have checked the signal page and i should get a very good reception (BT3)

I have a K3565 and have updated to the latest software 9.4.6.20529.

The USB dongle was a PAYG that doesn't expire and definitely has credit.

Anything else i need to be looking at?

I have tried it in my home pc as well (running windows 7) and get the same problem (Searching for network). (BT14)

As i understand it if you have not used the sim card for 180 days then the sim will have been diconnected and all credit will have been lost (anybody correct me if i'm wrong) so you would have to get a new sim card although the dongle should be still ok to use
if you can help with a problem great do it. If your just here to ###### people off then sod off!!

I saw something that said the same thing, but it also said you could re-activate it by topping up. How can you top up when it can't even find a network to connect to?

It's about 11 months since last use.

If you have the K3565 USB Modem, then you only get 1GB of data for £15 but there is no time limit on the credit as long as you use it regularly.

If you have no credit left and have not used it for 180 days then your account will be suspended but can be re-activated by topping up your account.
After 270 days without use, and if you have no credit, your account will expire.

If you have credit on your account, but have not used it for 180 days then your account will be suspended, but can be re-activated by topping up your account.
After 270 days without use, your credit will expire and after 360 days your account will expire.

in that case all i can think of is you will have to ring voda or call into a shop obviously if it is suspended then it will be not in use so will not connect unless you have another voda sim and use that to connect and try to top up your old sim that way (maybe your mobile sim if you have one use it in the dongle instead?) sorry mate that's all i can think of.

Hi ShowBoat

I'm afraid that the number will now have been recycled and so you will not be able to use the SIM you currently have.

I'm also sorry to say that we do not currently provide pay as you go mobile broadband SIM's. They only come as part of the SIM only Mobile Broadband USB modem pack.

What this means is that you will need to purchase a new Pay as you go modem to begin using the service again.

I'm sorry about that.

Please let me know if you have any more questions and we'll be happy to help you further

Thanks

Wayne
