The vodafone.net email service is being decommissioned - see the announcement
here regarding this. As part of this, the send.vodafone.net SMTP server will also be going offline. This system had been in use for some time, and much like a PC, there comes a time when you need to overhaul the whole system rather than simply upgrade it.
To replace this, we developed our
Vodafone 360 service, which includes an email service with it's own SMTP server. If you sign up for a free 360 account, as well as being able to use the contacts features to help integrate your various contacts lists, you can use the 360 email account and, most importantly in this case, the new SMTP server - smtp.360.com.
You just need to ensure that the email is set to use SSL and port 465, and that you enter your 360 username and password as the secure details.
