Motorola V9 - How do I connect it to my PC?

Any help greatly appreciated I had motorola V3i and never had any problems connecting to pc to transfer pictures, music etc. Have just got motorola V9 and no matter what I do I can't connect to pc. i am quite a novice on pc so please any help not too technical so I can understand many thanks

what kind of error message do you receive?

Are you using the Motorola phone Tools application that would have come with the phone?
