My experience with vodaphone

My experience with Vodafone.
I purchased the Samsung Galaxy s6 edge on pre order In the into trafford centre store 7 days prior to release date. The saleswoman in store insured me the phone would be with me on release date, my old phone contract ran out 10 days after. Unfortunately the phone didn't arrive on release date, I postponed a couple of days before ringing Vodafone to enquire as to where my phone was They said there is 2 week maximum wait period and my phone would be with me on that Friday. Once again my phone didn't arrive so I continued to enquire to its whereabouts, after umpteen phone calls with my new friends in Egypt where vodafone's customer service call centres are based we'd accepted I had been miss sold the product and their is a back log and no one knows when I will receive my phone.
So I went into the trafford center store to follow up, which is a nice 20 miles from my home to where I came across a completely useless salesmen who also didn't know when my phone would arrive and advised astonishingly to return to my old contract provider with ee! (Way to keep a customer) Which I did otherwise I wouldn't have had a phone.
My phone eventually arrived 5 weeks later but Vodafone the amazing set up they are sent me the wrong SIM card. after reading up on the many complaints online of Vodafone refusing to pay customers back and not applying the discount to contracts, this was the last straw and I decided to opt out of the contract! So I rang my Egyptian friends again and told them I wanted to cancel the contract due to absolutely poor customer service they then told me I had to drive to the store I purchased it from to return the handset even though they had miss sold me the product, not informed me of the delay, produced wrong information, then sent me the wrong product all tied up into their poor customer service! they then demanded I take the handset back myself Trafford centre (as they refused to organise a return themselves) or they will start to charge me my £49 a month tariff.
So last night I travelled 35miles to the Trafford centre store where I told them the situation they turned around and said they can't cancel the contract in store it has to be done over the phone due to fact it has been 14 days over the date of purchase even though I only received the handset 4 days ago! I explained the person on the phone told me to come here, his answer was to come in again tomorrow even though the computer still won't process it! After a few strong words to the consultant I left the shop and went home phone in hand.
This morning I rang Vodafone customer services twice informing them of the problem and asking for a solution both times they passed me through to the return department both times I was on hold for around 8 minutes to which then it said 'thank you for calling Vodafone' and the call ended. I have contacted a solicitor and I am well on my rights to do nothing else concerning the matter of returning the phone and if you charge me my monthly tariff he informed me I am in for a hefty compensation. Please come pick up your handset Vodafone and return my £52.50 you owe me.
Moral of the story. STAY WITH EEand never buy anything off Vodafone
