My texts aren't sending?

i have an iphone 5c and i'm on a monthly contract and for some reason my texts have stopped sending? i have unlimited texting and it only started playing up at around 7pm, but i can't send texts to any of my contacts which is pretty annoying. I've restarted my phone twice, but nothing.

Are you able to make calls?

There is a widespread outage on the system this evening, I know the south east, south west and Kent have no service at the moment.

and i'm in the north west but i didn't know that so maybe it's here too? thank you!

Issue in north of Scotland as well, I'd guess a message centre has gone down somewhere

Im in bolton, northwest same issue but i can receive texts
