NG21 - Nottinghamshire Vodafone not helping

The signal in the NG21 area, North Nottinghamshire has reached a point over the last few months where calls are consistently dropped and messages come through several hours later.

i have phoned Vodafone, but have been sent round in circles and have had little help or a solution offered.

the signal, checker on the website shows good coverage including 3G. The reality is different, there is barely 2G.

i have had the SIM card updated on my phone and have reset network settings but to no avail.

the icing on the cake is a text from Vodafone saying that there are no issues in my area and it is a problem with my Sure Signal box. This to me is proof that the company are fobbimg me off, as the postcode they quote is in Aberdeen, a few hundred miles from my address.

i am at a point now where my phone is not an asset, it is a burden which costs me money, not only in line rental but in loss of business from dropped calls and messages that appear hours later.

The problem is not just with the sure signal.

It is a general network issue in the area, where the signal is virtuaklly non existent when compared to other networks.

You only have to llok at any post Vodafone put on FB when the majority of responses are questioning the reliability of the signal.

I have had to resort to using this forum because Vodafone have told me to.

I have visited a store, got a new sim installed. PhonedVodafone directly, been passed from pillar to post and not had an answer to why the signal outside doesn't work.

The sure signal has all its lights on, shows a full signal on my phone and still I often get "call failed" or people being directed to voicemail despite this.

I checked all the things that Sukhi asked, but have been otherwise distracted from responding directly.

Can I private message my postcode as I don't want to publish it in the oublic domain.

@danrich8

For network issues, please take a look at our troubleshooting guide.

If the postcode you'd like us to check is the same one that's in your profile, let us know.

If it's not, please change it to this and we can take a look.

For Sure Signal support, please complete the remaining steps requested by Sukhi, and we'll be happy to continue with your query.

Please also let us know what lights you're seeing on the Sure Signal.

See how to run a traceroute on a Mac.

The coverage provided by your Sure Signal is completely seperate from that supplied by the network.

The sure signal gives a full signal in the house, but when I try to dial out often says "call failed"

Despite showing a full signal, I can have the phone sat next to me and a text message comes through telling me I have a voicemail.

So incoming calls are also affected.

I can't understand why this happens when this shows a full signal backed by a sure signal box.

Can you please instruct me how to do this on a Mac.

Please also realise that my network at home is fine.

My broadband is strong and I don't have issues with smart tv etc
