New Sure Signal Not Working

Similar to kirstyferg's post on 24th April we have received a Sure Signal for our business which is not working. It's been registered and linked to a router port to connect without any network barriers - however the lights on the device are the red light on the left hand side, and two orange lights (the signal and the phone icon). This is a v3.

I have reset the unit according to previous posts - holdding the reset button down for 30 secs and waiting an hour - but without any successful result.

So I've performed the variety of tests required and here are our results :

Speed Test - Download 15.71 Mbps, Upload 0.90 Mbps, Latency 32ms

Ping Test - Packet Loss 0%, Min 0ms, Max 23ms, Ave 5ms

External IP Address - 217.41.66.233

Sure Signal serial number - 42150211607

I have attached the traceroute results as a JPEG screenshot.

I'm not sure it's relevant but our postcode is IP19 8HX - and we already have another of our buildings within the same postcode running Sure Signal successfully.

But this I believe followed a reset from the Vodafone Tech Team which seems to have been kirstyferg's resolution too - so could I request this for our serial number/connection too please.

Many thanks.

Hi @cmehew

Thanks for posting your results.

If you're using a standard consumer Sure Signal, please attempt a reset any time after 7pm today (Sunday) to complete the resync.

Depending on the router you're using, you may also need to speak to your ISP about opening the following ports and Destination IP setups:

Ports and Protocols:
8 – TCP/UDP (All routers)
50 – TCP/UDP (All routers)
53 – TCP/UDP (Virgin Super Hubs)
67 – UDP (Virgin Super Hubs)
68 – UDP (Virgin Super Hubs)
123 – UDP (All routers)
500 – UDP (All routers)
1723 – TCP/UDP (BT Home Hubs)
4500 – UDP (All routers)
33434 – 33445 – UDP (Virgin Super Hubs)

Please note that in the above list of IP addresses, the notation "212.183.131.128/26" means the complete range of IP addresses between 212.183.131.128 and 212.183.131.191

Destination IP Addresses:
212.183.133.177
212.183.133.178
212.183.133.179
212.183.133.181
212.183.133.182
212.183.131.128/26

Your router also needs to assign the Sure Signal with a DNS (Domain Name Server) address via DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).

If you’re a BT Infinity customer, you’ll need to log into your router admin page and select port clamping.

If you're using a Business Sure Signal, please speak to your account manager on Contact us.

Thanks,

Ben
