But that isn't the way it works though, is it.
The higher the value the handset, the higher the tariff cost.
For example; iPhone 8 64gb with 4gb data is £54pm with £30 one off cost, 256gb is £58pm on same plan with £80 one off upront cost.
So, it is reasonable to assume the 256gb iPhone X will be a little higher cost per month than it's 64gb sibling on the same tariffs in addition to a larger one off upfront cost.

Yes thanks for the info guys, but with 24 month contracts, & Vodafone no longer offering 12 month contracts, plus myself opting to upgrade my phone every 12 months I don't know if I dare ask how much a flexi upgrade would cost.? (Anyone.....................................?) So until I see some figures, I think I will stay with option one. Buy direct from Apple.

iPhone X is available to order from Vodafone. Then you'll be able to choose from a range of great value plans, including:
All plans include unlimited minutes and texts. Red Entertainment plans include your choice of NOW TV Entertainment Pass, Spotify Premium or Sky Sports Mobile TV for 24 months.

Edit; post should read "Register your interest now and well let you know by text or email as soon as iPhone X is available to order from Vodafone."

Not here to debate with you. It clearly states on two different websites tariffs starting from & upfront costs. Indisputable.
To what end do you think I would speculate? It serves no purpose.

Vodafone
iPhone X (64GB): £200 upfront, £62 per month with 4GB of data
iPhone X (64GB): £150 upfront, £68 per month with 16GB of data
Thats from rom the telegraph website so clearly they are also doing cheaper tariffs.

As I said earlier in this thread, the £68 tariff was on the Vodafone main page yesterday but that information has now been replaced with the details of the £74 tariff. There hasn't been any mention of a £62 tariff on the Vodafone site & I don't read the Telegraph so I wouldn't know about that.
If you follow the link to register your interest on the CPW site they also state a starting price for tariffs.
So, I haven't guessed at anything & don't appreciate being called a liar.

Not calling you a liar just saying that your stated prices are no longer there. Vodafone web site doesn't state any information other than a tariff on the sign up page. All other info is through 3rd party's. at the end of the day I don't care either I don't think the tarifs will start at 68 quid seems way to expensive. They will put a higher up front cost and start prices lower.
