Hi there. I am an OAP living in Spain. Know nothing about Smart phones whatsoever. Am a complete dummy to them. Bought a Vodafone Smart 4 Turbo in the UK recently to replace a very simple Samsung GT-E1190 which I have used previously in Spain just for making/receiving calls and txts. Had the new Vodafone Smart 4 Turbo unlocked in the UK and inserted my Spanish Vodafone PAYG Sim card when got back to Spain. My credit appears to be disappearing extremely quickly even though I am not actually using the phone at all and is switched off when not in use at the moment and have put it on aircraft mode. It is really only for emergency purposes and for receiving local calls and txts. The mobile is connected to my home wifi and also several of my friends homewifis for when I am at their houses. A friend suggested switching off Mobile Data which I have done. Something must be running in the background eating up my credit quickly
Have been fiddling with it today & have found Restrict Background Data which I have ticked. Is there anything else that anyone can recommend I do other than the above in very simple terms for me. Hoping to get some help

Hi,
By toggling off Mobile Data in the settings this will stop any connection to the Network Data Internet Connection your latched to.
If the phone has a data monitor then look to that for some answers and or download one from yiur App Store.
