No Gear VR

I pre-ordered my S7 on the 4th March and was advised that I would receive both the phone and headset at the same time on the 8th March.

The phone came on the 8th but no headset. I rang Voda and they told me that the packages get shipped separately. Not happy with that and knowing that that was a complete lie, I connected to live chat with some bod in India, most likely, and he told me to go to my nearest Vodaphone store and pay for the headset and that Voda would credit my account. My response was too sharp tounged and long to reitterate here but needless to say, I am once again disgusted at the lack of after sales customer care and consider them to be worse than any car dealer I have ever been to.

Why oh why did I even bother to upgrade...will likey send back phone within 14 day cool off and change network provider should I not receive the Gear VR by tomorrow and should some other [Removed in line with Community House Rules] up, which likely will ocurr, does ocurr.

No courtesy email or text and nothing to say "sorry we messed up, here is a goodwill gesture from us at Voda to show our apprecaition for your loyalty over the past 10 years, please accept our apologies"

Broken seals, broken promises and quite frankly just a broken network. Still the CEO is probably driving around in his 16 plate Aston so it's all rosey for them.

Pathetic!

Hi

I appreciate your frustration.

This was released recently

http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Samsung-Galaxy-S7-Edge/Boxes-and-Samsung-Gear-VR/td-p/2476499

Current Phone  >

Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512gb.

Be thankful you got the phone.  I ordered on Feb 22nd and still haven't got it - only excuse given that it is "first come first served".  Clearly not, if you've got yours when you ordered March 4th.

No VR headset in my package.....nor did they send the case I purchased! And I had an opened box (by Samsung?)

plus I am owed 140£ for over changing the last 11 months.....

Yep same thing here. Was disappointed not to have them together. Used the live chat who told me my order hadn't been placed and he would do that. Gave me the same order number as my device. Waited the alloted 48 hours and nothing arrived. Chased by calling today, was told there was no record of my order being placed. He spoke to a colleague on returns who relayed that there was a problem with Samsung and that they won't be in stock for a couple of weeks. Said her manager would place the order directly this afternoon and to expect an order number by tomorrow. I'll give it till tomorrow midday and chase again.

Really poor customer service. It's not hard to ping an email advising customers of supply issues, but I was told "Imagine the man hours involved in that". As opposed to handling increased call volumes and customer complaints?

It's really disappointing that this is happening. The only reason I preordered was for the headset. I would have waited until my actual upgrade date in April otherwise and not paid the extra to upgrade earlier.

They really are rubbish! I rang again and have now been told that it could take up to 14 days for the headset to arrive, as opposed to the few days I was told 2 days ago, and thst they are being sent out in order of priority of when orders were placed but even that sounds like cr ap they are now being scripted to tell customers. I was told that I will not be disadvantaged if I decided to cancel my upgrade should the GeAr not arrive within 14 days, because apparently, there are notes on my account to show that I rang in within 14 days but there are no note of my previous call or of my live chat, even when the bod in India said "I am updating your account with notes on the system Yar". Let's see what happens...but I tell you what...they weren't half-quick to update my account to show my new upgraded tariff and I bet the money for the phone leaves my account within the next day or two. Absolute peasants! Let's hope they lose a lot of customers over this fiasco but that still won't learn them!

Have now been given my order ref. No est. Date of delivery.

I wouldn't mind if it was communicated better. Or at all. I instead get fobbed off several times with poor excuses and contradicting statements. Have to wait and see now.

I'm not even unpacking the phone until the headset comes, what's the point? I have to activate a new Sim and I dread to think what problems that'll cause when and if I do cancel and send the phone back! Then what do I do? I'll be without a Sim altogether. They should rebrand themselves as AmateurPhone. You can just see Vodafone employees sat round reAding these threads on their communal big screens and having a laugh! YeAh you...you fat ##~##! Stop chewing on that biro and dispatch my Gear VR so I can enter the world of virtual reality and remove myself from the burden of this life for 20mins, cos that's how long before the headset starts to overheat apparently! Same here. I've haven't opened my phone yet, still waiting for my VR Headset. I've had problems everytime I upgrade. Time to call it a day with Vodafone. Going to cancel all 3 of my contracts with them. Totally fed up.
