No data connection

My daughter has a big value bundle of her iPhone 6, which we changed from Vodafone 1. However we cannot get the data to work. It's fine on WiFi but won't when not connected. All settings are as they should be. Any ideas as have a very unhappy 15 year old. :Crying_Face:

As a process of elimination can you insert your sim card in another phone ?

When you mention settings have you checked that the Apn settings are correct > Vodafone-apn-settings. < and mobile data is turned On in the phone.

Does this happen everywhere  ?

Try a soft reboot by turning the device Off and On. 

 

Try manually choosing another network in the phones settings and then choose Vodafone. 

 

Try texting WEB to 40127 and ensure no data bar is toggled On in your myvodafone.

Hi Mistygem80,

 

It will be the APN settings that need changing on the iPhone. If you go to Settings->Mobile Data->Mobile Data Options->Mobile Data Network then change the APN to pp.vodafone.co.uk the data should then start to work.

Hi @Mistygem80

 

The first question to ask is when your Daughter changed  from PAYG 1 to a BVB?  

 

If you only just changed the Big Value Bundle the pack would usually start at midnight on the day you opted in and Vodafone would have sent a text when it was activated and ready for use.  

 

It might be worth checking from the online account or phone application to make sure the bundle has been added.
