You can only activate your SIM online if you're a pay monthly or small business customer.

If you're a pay as you go customer, please call 191 from your Vodafone mobile or 0333 3040 191 from a landline.

Trying ure Sim in another phone as a process of elimination 2 rule out the phone or sim that may be at fault.

Sim swap to move your number and tariff from your original sim to a new one.

Resetting the Network on the iPhone via Settings-> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.
