Note 7 - Class Action Suit

Given the bad treatment we are getting from Vodafone on this, would people be willing to seek compensation collectively on this issue? I feel like we are drawing the short stick in the way this is being handled. Even if vodafone provides in it's agreements a waiver for class actions, they are not being true to their end of the contract anyway...

I have exhausted possibilities, being told there is no stock is a lie, as people are getting phones exchanged as we speak.

That's subjective. As I use my phone for work, being limited to 60% battery limits a lot of my productivity. There is also the risk of keeping an electronic device that can combust.

The phone will ony combust if it is being charged and it that case your action would be again the manufacturer who have advised that the phone should not be used at all.

As for loss of productivity I think you will find that hard to show.

@gpd1965 Before you throw your £35 court fee away you really need to speak to them for advice.

You cannot claim compensation unless you can show you have suffered a financial loss, hardship or damage. Being fed up with a delivery system is not justification for a claim.

If you're determined to go ahead with this, talk to a lawyer, but choose one who'll give you a free initial consultation.   Otherwise you'll be throwing money away.

You and the other 2.5 million people who bought Note 7's.   This is a global problem.  It's not specific to Vodafone and the network can't solve it on their own.  As I've said many times before, there is only one source of replacement devices: Samsung.

cc hrym yes but the vast majority of the complaints are in the dire way Vodafone have responded to the situation, and how they have made a bad situation even worse.

Problem is other companies are assisting their clients. Some are offering exchanges with loan of a new phone or cancelling the order totally. Vodafone won't let you cancel. Other companies are offering compensation, Vodafone we offering nothing.

Lamaza if you decide to go ahead with it please let us know. Vodafone customer service, well there is no such a thing as customer service in this company...

Im at a loss for money wise as Vodafone still owe me £280 since 5/9 when I returned my Note 7 because of these issues, although I wanted to give it a chance im glad I didnt as I would have been without a phone for some time now.

Also the complaints process is shocking even they cant get their act together.

If we have paid for a device we have and the contract is currently rolling isnt that finanically out of pocket? I have since move that line away but stil am fincially out of pocket due to lack of refund.

I'd be willing to put my name down to a list of unhappy customers

When you cancelled, did you also cancel your direct debit?   If so, there'll be no immediate channel through which to make the refund and it'll have to be by cheque, which takes longer.
