Note 7 Exchange - Nobody knows how to do it

Hi there,

After getting my phone on the presale from Vodafone I am now going through the excruciating process of trying to get a replacement or the new Note 7. I have contacted Vodafone over chat service, phone and gone to the store. Nobody had a clue as how to handle the request, the store didn't seem to know that vodafone customers even had the phone to do a recall.

Talking to the chat service I was transferred 3 times, not one of the guys I spoke with had a straight answer on the procedure. They said I should go to the store and it would be done right there as soon as I got to the store... Went to the store (Camden High Street), they were befuddled by the fact that I had a note 7 and that there was a recall happening... They made me call 191 in front of them. After talking to 4 different attendants, I was given a samsung number... The person said that I should call samsung and they would solve it... I call samsung and they say that vodafone is responsible and should offer me a replacement or a phone to use in the meantime... The blame shifting is not a good thing, as the phone now only charges up to 60% (pushed update today) and there's a small chance it might blow up. I don't have another device to use. Someone needs to bring some knowledge as patience is wearing thin...

Now I've just had a message off Samsung asking what vodafone have told me. I just told them vodafone don't have our replacements. See what happens now.

They strait up lied to me on Tuesday saying they are sending me a new one called 5 mins ago and they hadn't didn't know anything about it I'm gonna write to watchdog I think

If someone could post the details for Watchdog or telecoms ombudsman that would be useful - we should all call perhaps, it is time for some intervention I think

Sadly, we can only contact the ombudsman after an obscene amount of time.

This is being handled very poorly by Vodafone... You talk to support and all the information is conflicting, the staff is clearly not briefed, as today again they say I should talk to samsung...

Never ever had such a frustrating time with a company. Let me highlight my week so far!

Called Monday evening 19th as advised, was told orderd will start the following morning and was promised a call back in the morning 20th.

Not surprisingly that call never happened, called 191 that evening, of they were all apologetic, but the guy said he had sorted it and a replacement had been ordered for delivery on Thursday (today) he even comfirmed my mobile number and email that DPD could contact me on.

Never even got an email from vodafone with my order number for tracking, so i called them this morning and was told an order was never even placed, but dont worry he will do it now, confirmed with him that the order has gone through, yes he siad, confirmed with him that he willl send me a confirmation email, yes he said.

NO EMAIL!

i've been tweeting @vodafoneukhelp far the last few days, who have answered me ONCE by directing me to the samsung note 7 announcement, AAARRGGHH

So get home from work and call the number on the complaints page, who tell me they 'dont deal with the public' and pass me to customer services, who promptly put the phone down on me!

As i'm typing this i am online chatting to vodafone, currently on my 4th person (already 8 people talked to today)

The 1st person tells me vodafone aren't replacing the note 7 i should call samsung! He then puts me through to upgrade dept, when i explain the situation they put me back to customer services who then put me through to the upgrade dept!!! AAARRGGHH

Even she said she has read the previous conversation, she asks me do i want to upgrade!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Something is going on, nobody knows what the situation is. 13 years a customer and they dont give a ##~##!

We just wanted to remind you that we can now exchange your Samsung Galaxy Note7. To arrange this please give us a call on 191 free from a Vodafone mobile or 03333 040 191 from any other phone (standard call charges apply). You can find more information on our eForum page at www.vodafone.uk/Note7

This was sent to me today but they still don't know what's going on when called pathetic
