Afternoon Voda Reps
QQ Regarding Note 7 Queries etc.
1. Swapouts - Naturally Voda are doing these. The official statement says To call after 19th Sept If you want to exchange for Note 7 device. Will it be a straight Swap For Swap with DPD (IE Their "Swapit" Facility) ??
Can these be done in store? The guys in Crawley said it could be done like for like. I'd just rather not be without my device for more than a couple of days if Im still paying for it.
2. What happens on Siebel in relation to tariffs and billing? Will these be exempt due to the issues? IE Old Tariff still rolling on? Etc

Going to call Voidafone tomorrow and ask what's happening. I called on Tuesday to arrange a return of my updated Note 7 when it all blew up (figuratively!) and today I received a Royal Mail return bag. Obviously the comment about these not going back through RM concerns me – yet again left hand not knowing what right hand is doing…
The level of crazy on this is phenomenal! Never known a company that can get this wrong so frequently – If ever there was a lesson to learn on how to run a call centre VF is a prime example of how not to!

OK so tried to do the right thing today regarding the return...
Speak to Stacie in front line.
"Yes, all sorted - you just need to call DPD direct on 0121 275 0500 and they can arrange to pick up the phone". I call DPD and after a 20 minute wait get throught to Tom - yes You can authorise a return but you need to give them Vodafone's DPD account number. <sigh>
Back to Vodafone who cannot give that info out, then get cut off from the ELR team (thanks Grogan!)..
Back to the ELR team again. Talk to Alyssa who was initially stumped. As I have a RM bag the only way to get the DPD return is to cancel the cancelation then re cancel (What!) - this will take around 10 days. But another option is to return to a Vodafone store - I question that but I am told that as the ELR team have a note on the account that this absolutely will work.. Later on I pop to the local store (Leatherhead - paid for parking) - they will not accept this as a return as they don't do returns from web orders!!
So either I wait another 10 days for a DPD re-fresh possibly or lie to the post office (if they ask) and risk the package being confiscated (and potentially sent to auction) - which will then leave me chasing for an undelivered parcel - I think we can guess how that will pan out....
So tomorrow I will ask for my PAC code, cancel my Direct Debit and see Vodafone in Court if thats how they want to play it. Any remaining loyalty to Vodafone has finally broken.... I doubt I will ever see the £100 I paid up front for the phone - I doubt I will get any sliver of refund on the additional cost of the call package vs. a flexi sim deal. Sure I am down at least £200 but to get away from Vodafone has to be worth it.....
So when my wife gets to the end of her contract, she'll be off of VF and I'll try my utmost to get my inlaws off of VF to. So that's 4 contracts dead (combined time with VF around 60 years).

Can none of the Vodafone staff that occasionally make an appearance get someone higher up the chain to look at these threads!? It's ridiculous what what we have to go through.
I finally got my Note sent back and account put back to how it was (after hours of calls/chats and multiple screw ups) and so i ended up buying an unlocked iPhone thinking to myself, well a sim only plan will be straight forward. I should have known better, they've even managed to screw that up and i'm now one hour into being constantly being cut off from the web chat everytime they try and pass me to the 'relevant department'.
Sort yourselves out Vodafone, your customer service is abysmal!
