Registered min back in 2012, the signal has always been poor, dropping off after a couple of minutes but now after following all the advice available here and elsewhere I am stumped, the third light doesn't come on after a reset, in fact when doing the reset and reinserting the power cable only light number one comes on, after a couple of minutes my finger goes numb so I let it go and it flashes and does whatever it does.
Any way, my serial number is 21197023142

It sounds like your internet connection doesn't have enough bandwidth at certain times of the day to hold the SureSignal connection.
Are you able to run a speedtest using speedtest.net and post back the results.

If you read my post you will see that I tried everything, that includes the speed test which has 6.9mb download and .46mb upload. Plenty according to website comments and this occurs at all time of the day and night, 7am this morning for instance, now the third light doesn't come one at all.

Sorry didn't reaslise you have previously posted.
It coulod be that your Ss has developed a fault, if this is the case one of the team would need to get in touch and arrange for an exchange for you

How do they get in touch?

Hi evanowen,
Thanks for your posts.
From what I can see everything looks fine with the registration so you shouldn’t be seeing any call drops.
Can you confirm what phone are being used with the Sure Signal and does this happen with all of them?
As this is over two years old then it is no longer covered by the warranty which means that a free repair or exchanged can’t be arranged.
If it is that you wanted to go down the repair option then it would cost £65.
With this said the first thing that I would double check would be the MTU in your router admin panel to make sure that it is set to 1500.
Also if you can let us know who your ISP is and what router you are using it will help narrow down our investigations.

I went on chat and maghdi said she (not sure if was a she!) said the device had been 'refreshed' and the numbes had been something elsed.
Then she got me to rest the thing and told be to wait 6 hours max with all phones set to 3g.
I'm going find something useful to do with my time now, going to put the horses, ducks and chickens to bed, not in the same shed of course.
I'll be back with the results of the 8 hours I have spent on this useless box today, plus the 3 hours yesterday. I won't buy another if this is broken, we have four iPhones in this house that will be going over to Orange next week if this fails, I've had enough of the lousy Voda signal. Thank goodness I had the wisdom to buy sim free iphone 5s.

Well, still no joy, the three lights are steady but nothing on any of the phones.
Factory reset hub and SS, reset both again, tried port clamping, port forwarding, the Indian nuclear solution but still nothing.
What is a forced sync?

BTW, problem is not 'solved'.

Hi evanowen,
Thanks for getting back to us.
I’ve checked your serial number and this last connected yesterday at 18:49.
I’ve trying re-syncing your device today so please complete this process by performing a factory reset as follows:
-Perform hard rest of the VSS unit by
-Hold in the reset button until all the lights go solid
-Pull the power lead out with the reset button still pushed in
-Continue to hold down the reset button and reconnect the power lead
-Wait for all of the lights to come on then release the reset button
Let me know how you get on.
Thanks,
Jenny
