I have had intermittent signal up until the 24th November at which point I lost the signal like everyone else in the pa31 postcode area and your live chat people are telling us there is nothing wrong with the signal. No there is nothing right with it even if full bars come on the phone there is no connection for texting or calling people this is my only phone and with young kids at school who aren't feeling the best I need to know if something goes wrong and they need collected please sort this as getting annoyed I am wasting my money paying a contract for a mobile that is useless

When I put that first part of the postcode in the Network Checker its telling me your on a fringe coverage area.
It also shows planned upgrade on 4g in the next 3 months.

As this seems to be a network issue rather than a device one, and to have come on recently, I'm wondering whether that work has started and the signal strength is reduced as a consequence. If so, the fix should be around the corner (with a bit of luck).
