Pay monthly and roaming in Europe

Hi all

I have a pay monthly account and the "my vodafone" app on my phone has a small aeroplane icon. When tapped it says "unlimited roaming texts" and "unlimited roaming minutes".

Can this be right? Do I have free texts and minutes in Europe? I only get 500 free minutes in the UK so can't see how I can have free unlimited minutes in Europe..

Vodafone have stated it now too:

Our roaming prices are changing

From 11 June 2017, all Pay monthly customers will benefit from Vodafone Global Roaming. This means you’ll be able to use your UK plan of data, minutes and texts in 100 destinations worldwide.

Hi.

I've got the conversion on my phone, I screen ##~## it all and he said its only for new contracts.

I'm going to shop round after being loyal to Vodafone. I go to Spain in a regular basis and it would have been good.

 That's part of my conversation, he said I can upgrade but surely that will cost me.

I would wait till all the networks release their new plans with the changes for EU roaming.

The information @hrym advised is correct. Our new price plans already include Vodafone Global Roaming, however from 11 June 2017 all existing Pay Monthly customers will be able to use their UK allowances in our Europe Zone at no extra cost.
