Personal hotspot setup on iPhone

I've got a new PAYG SIM for Vodafone on an unlocked iPhone 3GS and the 'setup Personal Hotspot' button under network just says to go to the help website, where there is no help.

Can one of the eTeam help me?  I was hoping this would be simple as I'm due to leave soon.

Personal hotspot is not available with a PAYG sim.

That's unfortunate...  I will just have to use Three instead, where Personal Hotspot on iPhone works perfectly without restrictions.  And bandwidth is better where I am anyway.

Stopping customers from paying to use your network is crazy - it's not as if I was getting unlimited usage, I'm paying per MB....

Is this something you’ve noticed recently or has it always been like this?

Try the following to see if they help:

• Check that your data connection is set to on
• Try a soft reset of your phone. Press and hold the Home and the Sleep/Wake buttons until the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons when it does.
