Hello community
I have Platinum 7 and have a problem when using the camera. All My pictures are blurry so I went into settings and the "image stabiliser" is greyed out and I cannot turn on or off. What is going on? I have reset to factory settings but no matter what I seem to do I cannot get it to turn on. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
Thanks
Steve

Hi,
Can you try an alternative camera app ?
You may need to pop it into a Vodafone store if Vodafone supplied the phone for them to take a look and if needed send it off.
Take Time / Date stamped pictures of the device to show the condition you sent it back in and one of it turned on.
"Also make sure when sending your device for repair that you keep hold of your SIM. You also shouldn't send your memory cards, battery and/or back cover (if they're removable) - if these are included with your phone when it goes for repair we can't guarantee their return."

Thanks for your reply. I have downloaded quite a few camera apps and none seem to have an image stabalisation setting. I think I am going to have to visit the vodafone shop as the phone is only about four weeks old
Cheers

Hi,
That would be my choice too.
If its under 30 days old then they should replace it if bought from the Vodafone store.

Update on the camera image stabiliser. The phone went back to vodafone and was returned no fault. I was told by the manager of the Harlow Vodafone store that phone does not have image stabilisation?? I asked, "then why is there a setting for it?" I was told that it was just a software thing!! Am I being mugged off here as I cannot find any info on whether this phone is supposed to have it. The guys at the vodafone shop do not have a clue and tell me there is no info that they can get which would tell them if that is the case or not. So I have been sold a phone which is vodafones own make and they cannot tell what it should or shouldn't do.
Any ideas anyone?

It's entirely possible that the camera app is a generic one across the Vodafone range and that this model doesn't have the feature.
Hang on for the Tech Team here, who should be able to investigate for you and give you a definitive answer.

In the interests of clarity, would that be a software fix or a hardware update? If it's software, can it be backdated (ie a single app updated), or would it require a whole new firmware update?

Thank you for checking this out. Could be improved! :manlol: I guess so, anythings better than a feature that does nothing.
It's a shame because the Platinum 7 has all the makings of a flagship phone but is let badly let down by leaving this standard feature out.
