Problem with Mobile broadband usage URGENT please help!

I have a pay as you go mobile broadband dongle and the data usage is draining from it at an alarming rate. As soon as I connect to the internet it immediately starts to take 10mb, 50mb, 100mb before I've even opened an internet page - it's taking it for no apparant reason. Can anyone help?

Hi

 

sites with feature rich content will use data much faster. 

 

If you use Facebook makes sure auto video play is turned off. 

 

Ensure re nothing is updating in the background or streaming etc. 

 

try clearing your caches and cookies and close down the browser and re launch it or try another browser. 

 

Google Chrome has data compression properties / settings.
