Problem with Vodafone Mobile Broadband software - wont open...

My friend has a Vodafone Mobile Broadband dongle. They use Windows 7.

Up until recently there wasn't an issue, however, an issue with the Vodafone Broadband lite software has developed.

They cannot open it - when they attempt to it give the option to close the program or check online for solutions (which they can't do because they can't access the internet).

They cannot delete it, as when they go through the uninstall procedure and reset the pc, the software still remains - even the desktop shortcut.
